Wirral Vet Physio - Claire Burgess
Claire Burgess is a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist based in Wirral.
Claire graduated from The University of Teesside in 2003 with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy.Since qualifying Claire has worked in the NHS, private practice, BUPA and for Tranmere Rovers Football Club; gaining extensive experience in musculoskeletal sports injuries, orthopaedic and neurological conditions.Claire then went on to the University of the West of England to complete the postgraduate diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy, allowing her to transfer her specialist skills to the assessment and treatment of animals.Claire now treatshorses and dogs throughout Wirral and the surrounding areas, and is able to assess and treat riders in a private setting, whilst continuing to work in the NHS and private sector in musculoskeletal out patients.
She has a wealth of experience with horses starting at an early age, she can cater for all horses from happy hackers to top level competition horses, every horse is assessed as an individual and treatment plans are set accordingly.
Being a human physiotherapist and Equipilates™ registered trainer she has a special interest in rider biomechanics and strongly believes that both the horse and rider benefit from physiotherapy to improve the partnership.
Claire has ridden all of her life and competed in showjumping, dressage and eventing with her current horse Maddie, and has a Weimaraner called Beau who is just starting out in at agility and obedience.

We have been in around since 2002 when we developed the business to support our equine rug wash and repair service, in order to offer customers the opportunity of putting the name of their horse onto their travel rugs.
From these small beginnings, we now offer our clients the opportunity to personalise all forms of clothing, whether it is work wear, horse wear, mugs, or even team clothing; and we can supply the items you need personalised.
All our work is done in house by our team of experts, and we will discuss your needs to ensure you receive the products you want, not what suits the supplier.
